2016 IEEE Workshop on Cooperative Communication and Positioning
Critical cooperative intelligent transport system (C-ITS) applications for future intelligent connected vehicles rely on knowledge of the geographical positions of vehicles. When GNSS conditions are not favorable, intelligent connected vehicles may rely on cooperative communications to use other neighboring vehicles under more favorable GNSS conditions to enhance their positioning information. Yet, stringent channel, communication and mobility conditions make such benefit challenging and potentially counterproductive. The aim of this workshop is to bring together academic and industrial researchers to identify and discuss technical challenges and recent results related to cooperative communication and positioning.
The workshop will be held in conjunction with the IEEE Intelligent Vehicles Symposium in Göteborg, Sweden at the Lindholmen Conference Centre.
The workshop has the support of the partners of the H2020 project HIGHTS (See http://hights.eu/).
